JAZZ PUNT BIG BAND / KLING-KLANG (plays Kraftwerk) (Slo)

Since 2005, the Jazz Punt Big Band has been established in Tolmin, which was founded by the members of the Tolmin Wind Orchestra with an affinity for jazz music, which is performed by Artistic Director Matija Mlakar. The scroll of the names of this 20-member big band expresses love and affection for jazz and proud affiliation with the birthplace, known for the great Tolmin peasant in 1713. After introducing the jazz big bands from the first half of the 20th century and the masters like Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong and Glenn Miller, the Jazz Punt Big Band, began to integrate into its repertoire of evergreen jazz standards, including modern blues, funk, pop and latino rhythms. He has upgraded the implementation of instrumental standards by collaborating with well-known Slovenian singers and singers such as Anika Horvat, Nuša Derenda, Oto Pestner, Darja Švajger, Kristina Oberžan, Magnifico, Rok Fereng, Nuška Drašček, and in 2010 Tanja Srednik became a permanent singer Jazz Punt Big Band . To date, he has a big band behind him in over 150 concerts at home and abroad, from where he returns with prizes. Following the A Tribute To The Beatles project, the Jazz Punt Big Band will blow up twenty candles on the jubilee cake Sajeta with the KLING-KLANG project and will play Kraftwerk music in its own way.
