The film school for young people will take place from July 3 to 6, 2023. During the 4-day workshop,
participants will learn about filmmaking with professional support and also shoot a short feature or
documentary film.
How will the case proceed?
Participants will first get to know film lingo through examples and practical exercises. You will then
formulate ideas that you and your mentors will develop to the point where you can make your
film. This will be followed by the assembly of the film crew and the creation of the storyboard. Then
you will delve into the most eagerly awaited, shooting of the scenes, and finally round it all off with
the editing of the recorded footage. This year, when making films, we will focus on non-violent
themes that will not include elements of violence, horror, etc.
The recorded films will not remain on our computers, we will put the finishing touches on the entire
Film School experience with a public presentation of your works on Sunday, July 9, 2023, in the
evening at Sotočje in Tolmin as part of the film program of the international SAJETA festival.
Who is the Film School for?
The film school is intended for all young people (15+) who want to learn about the process and tools
of filmmaking, those who like to be creative and want to spend their free days in good company.
Who is the performer of the Film School?
The film school is run by Luksuz production from Krško, which creates important “media classrooms”
for young authors of video content in various places in Slovenia and is a production center for a new
generation of filmmakers.
