Yordan Kostov’s project Aksioma is a globetrotting jazz fusion sponge, absorbing everything that the musicians encounter on their wanders through the African-American, Balkan and Oriental music. The openness of artists’ subconscious musical modus operandi guarantees a wild ride through idioms of the world, aesthetics and forms. Next to the Brazilian vibraphonist and drummer Brenda Ohana and Brazilian bassist Bruno Dozzi Tezza, Kostov switches his usual instrument, the accordion and takes up a rare role as the pianist. The result album  “Asphalt Calcutta” from 2024, is a strange, time-spatial play with music which is most suited for deep listening in Sajeta’s creative utopia.
