Volunteering

The Sajeta Music Festival invites all who wish to volunteer to join us in the first week of July and participate in the creation of the festival.

Over more than two decades, Sajeta has established itself as one of the most important events with this type of music content in Slovenia. It does not conform to commercial trends and every year, with a carefully selected program of all styles and genres, it satisfies curious visitors who form a creative and diverse community where everyone finds their place.

We offer our volunteers a week of living in a beautiful natural environment at the confluence of two emerald-green rivers, a selection of high-quality alternative music concerts, and the opportunity to acquire new skills. A very important aspect of the volunteering we offer is the work experience, networking, and the creation of new opportunities.

The areas of work for which we are seeking volunteers are very diverse, so there is something for everyone. You can choose from:

• Setting up and dismantling the venue: This work is mainly suited for men, as it is physically demanding and quite strenuous. You will work intensively on Monday and finish what is needed on Tuesday. Then you have the entire festival free to enjoy. After the festival, there will be one or two days of dismantling the venue. You will receive a festival ticket, camping accommodation, and meals on the days you work. A driver’s license (for vans!) and a willingness to moderate consumption when driving are preferred.
• Maintaining the venue: This also includes helping with non-physically demanding setup tasks. Suitable for everyone, even those who are not particularly physically inclined. During the setup, you will put up signs, mark the camping area, set up trash bins, etc. During the festival, you will be on duty for trash management, refilling toilet paper, and keeping order at the campsite. This involves about 2 hours of active work per day. Under the guidance of a mentor, you will agree on how to divide the work. You will receive a festival ticket, camping accommodation, and one meal per day. Alcoholic beverages are allowed only at the discretion of the supervisor.
• Filming and photography at the event: You will receive a festival ticket, camping accommodation, and meals depending on the amount of work and effort invested.
• Hosting: Preparing packages for performers, welcoming performers, and taking care of the backstage area.
• Technical assistance: Assisting technicians with the preparation and execution of concerts, etc.
• Information: Informing visitors about ongoing festival activities, from workshop schedules to raising awareness about ecological practices; explaining the measures we have adopted as a public event and what they can do as visitors to reduce negative environmental impact. You will receive a festival ticket, camping accommodation, and one meal per day on the days you work. Beverages are provided occasionally.

Non-alcoholic beverages, such as water and juice, are always available to all volunteers in the volunteer camp. Water is available in unlimited quantities for all workers and volunteers at the bar for free.
