Transhumanism is not merely a trend of merging humans and machines that emerged as a consequence of technological progress. It is a philosophy and an idea of transcending\u2014or transforming\u2014the human being, with roots stretching far back into the history of civilization. Today, however, we are witnessing attempts at its most radical realization.
Transhumanism is not only a technological issue; it is also a philosophical, political, social, religious, and even metaphysical one, as it confronts us with a seemingly simple question: \u201cWho am I?\u201d<\/strong>
At a time when ideas of enhancing human beings through nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, and even the transfer of consciousness into computer systems are becoming increasingly prominent, this question is no longer merely academic. Understanding the true nature of transhumanism may also be the only way to avoid it…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kre\u0161imir Mi\u0161ak<\/strong> (1972) is a Croatian journalist, writer, musician, and television host, best known as the creator and presenter of the cult TV program On the Edge of Science<\/em> (Na rubu znanosti<\/em>), which has been broadcast on Croatian Radiotelevision since 2002. For decades, he has explored topics at the intersection of science, philosophy, society, and spirituality, presenting them through television programs, lectures, and books.
He is the author of numerous books, including Death to Transhumanism, Freedom to the People!<\/em> (Smrt transhumanizmu, sloboda narodu!<\/em>), which examines the phenomenon that will be discussed at Sajeta, as well as several works dealing with unexplained phenomena and contemporary social issues. As a science fiction writer, he has twice received Croatia\u2019s prestigious SFERA Award<\/strong> for Best Short Story.
In addition to writing, he remains active as a musician and author.
