ŠIROM (Slo)

The Prekmurje-Tolmin-Karst fellowship of Iztok Koren, Samo Kutin and Ana Kravanja has in eight years of existence united the landscapes of genres, approaches, histories and musical-craftsmanship imagination. Their unique expression is split between a wide sphere of folk sounds and contemporary acoustic-rock meditations. What we end up hearing is a down-to-earth, but still mystical, minimalism. With their last album The Liquified Throne of Simplicity (Glitterbeat), Širom once and for all conquered the world with the vastness of their musical inventiveness and presented the work at more than a hundred concerts all over Europe.
