DAMO SUZUKI (Jpn)

Damo Suzuki, the legendary singer and one of the pioneers of krautrock; his band Can was setting milestones at the end of 60’s and in 70’s. He became joined Can by coincidence when Holger Czukay and Jaki Liebezeit saw him performing on the streets of Munich and the band was just left without the singer Malcolm Mooney. Damu Suzuki thus joined the crew that made the history. He is known for creating lyrics on the go which is something he does since the times with Can.
As one of the pioneers of krautrock Damo Suzuki influenced many generations of creative musicians and still travels around the world to spread the power of improvisational music. One of his stops this is year is also Sajeta where he will honour our anniversary in his unique way. After Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius, this will be another great show by the legendary musician that has shaped the contemporary music.
