BAKALINA VELIKA (Slo)

Bakalina Velika is as legendary as her epic musical fables, modern-folk songs with socio-critical and lyrical messages in the Čadrg dialect. The initial storytellers, the duo of self-taught musicians – songwriter and singer, language farmer-poet, Jani Kutin and harmonica player Renata Lapanja, met like-minded people along their journey and thus Bakalina Velika was born (Samo Kutin, Dejan Lapanja, Matej Magajne, Marjan Stanić, Andrea Pandolfo). Last year, the band released their second album Zviezdno srebruo to excellent critical and audience reception. In recent months a new album is being created, on which we can also expect songs played on instruments made from the famous Čadrška fir, the wood of which is more than 6500 years old.
