Drugi val (Second wave) off the air

This spring the regular weekly music broadcast Drugi val (Second wave) disappeared from the Val 202 frequency, after 38 years of spreading music from the other side of the popular domain. Another victim of austerity measures? As protests against the cancellation of these kind of programmes in public media don’t reach the ears of the ones who decide there is no other way than reaching eager ears through different channels. So the long time creators of the programme led by Igor Vidmar will gather at Sajeta and execute a one and a half hour off the air version of Second wave, thus filling Sotočje with contemporary releases by Slovenian authors and a selection of underground, alternative and other marginal musical approaches from all over the globe.
